La Chartreuse is a beautiful country house and grounds located in the Dordogne in the picturesque and sunny South West region of France. Known for its charm, character, intimacy, privacy, and style, La Chartreuse is a favourite venue for weddings, celebrations, and events in the region.
The Dordogne is a popular destination in France recognised for its outstanding culinary traditions, panoramic views, famous vineyards, UNESCO World Heritage sites, historic chateaux, bastide villages, and the beautiful Dordogne River.
At around 700 m2, La Chartreuse is a large property made up of a main house, grand salon, guest wing, a two-bedroom gite, and an eye-catching tower. Along with the gite La Chartreuse has four additional large double bedrooms in the main house and a double bedroom in the tower.
Set in five hectares (12.5 acres) of beautiful grounds in the countryside, La Chartreuse is very private and stylish setting to host events and functions, with many features to be found around the property.
Ideal for weddings and other private functions, La Chartreuse has been set up to be a family-friendly, stylish, and vibrant venue.
La Chartreuse is situated in a prime location, just 10 minutes from the lively and popular bastide town of Eymet, which is filled with restaurants and bars. It is also just five minutes from the Chateau des Vigiers that boasts a 27 hole golf course and Michelin Star restaurant.
La Chartreuse is also surrounded by superb local vineyards and eateries including the locally famous Famille Moutier restaurant, it is 15 minutes from the Dordogne River, ands 30 minutes from some of the very best and most famous wine appellations in the world including Saint Emilion, Pomerol, and Monbazillac, while being just over an hour from the historic and stylish city of Bordeaux and 20 minutes from the charming and historic town of Bergerac.

The Grand Salon is an eye-catching ballroom, perfect for elegant events. With a hosting capacity of around 80 people for dinner, the Grand Salon features a chateau fireplace, and wrought iron and stone staircase. The Grand Salon is complemented by the connecting vestry and bar. A professional kitchen is set up for caterers and guests hosting private events.

La Chartreuse features beautiful open-sided pole stretch marquee in a prime position on the property, overlooking the Fountain Lawn, grounds, and wood.
The Pavilion Marquee is an ideal space for spring and summer outdoor weddings and other events where guests can revel in the good weather whilst also appreciating shade from the South-West sun.

Perfect for wedding ceremonies, the Fountain Lawn is lined by olives trees and white flowering laurel. It also features a beautiful white pergola, fantastic for romantic wedding photos.
The Fountain Lawn can be set up for intimate or large ceremonies, or as a fantastic location for pre-dinner reception cocktails and canapés.

The Pool area is a superb space featuring a bar, built-in BBQ, sun lounging areas and a beautiful wooden pergola for those who want a little shade. The pool itself is a attractive blue tiled large pool (6 metre x 12 metre), sloping down from a proper shallow end suitable for small children to a two metre deep-end.

The Pool area is a superb space featuring a bar, built-in BBQ, sun lounging areas and a beautiful wooden pergola for those who want a little shade. Sunloungers and an outdoor dining set-up are provided for guests. The pool is open for use from May to September.
